Features of the organization of satellite communication channels in the Ku and Ka bands using the example of the satellite Express-AM5

The article discusses the issues of satellite communication in Ku and Ka frequency bands, for example, a multi-beam geostationary satellites Express-AM5. Coverage zones of Express-AM5 in the Ku - and Ka-bands are defined. The features of Express-AM5 as a high-capacity satellite are analyzed. The advantages of using the Ka-band in comparison with the traditionally used Ku-range are determined.
