Journals of General Check of Trade and industrial institutions in Tula Governorate as the historical sources on studying the domestic market of the Russian Empire in the 2nd half of XIX century

The article presents the source study of Journals of General Check of Trade and Industrial Institutions in Tula Governorate in the 2nd half of XIX century that were made up by the deputies for special assignments of the Treasury Chambers with the assistance of trade deputies and volosts’ foremen of Tula Governorate. These papers are of great interest for studying Russian social-economic history but are weakly studied. Many of them are not introduced to the scientific publicity. Author has analyzed the structure and the content of the sources and the circumstances of their origin. Also author pays the attention to the problem of the authenticity pf the information in the sources and to the informational potential of them for studying the domestic market of the Russian Empire in the 2nd half of XIX century. The article suggests determining the journals as the papers of fiscal-administrative registration.
