Features of Academic English teaching methods in economic universities

Nowadays the quality of economic education is being discussed much. It is emphasized that the success of future professionals depends not only on their major knowledge, but also on the level of the foreign language training. This article examines the features of Academic English teaching methods in an economic university. The characteristics of Academic English and its coordination with the core subjects are given. The peculiarities of the learning process, as well as features and functions of Academic English are analyzed. It is noted that, within the framework of the existing approach to teaching a foreign language, the development of Academic English helps a future graduate to master professional skills and form the key abilities.
