Cultural policy of the Russian Empire on the malorossian (“Little Russian”) territory in the XIX century: educational aspect

The article considers one of the most important aspects of the cultural policy of the Russian Empire in the 19th century, which is the educational one. The author confines himself only to the “Little Russian” (Ukrainian) territories, which demonstrates how consistent and effective the state policy was with respect to the emerging Ukrainian national identity and a separate cultural space.
