This article explores the concept of governed space in the sociology of governance as a specific configuration of social interactions within which actors agree on and implement shared goals. Governed space is understood not geographically, but as a specific area of possible interactions and meanings. Drawing on E. Goffman's ideas on the "order of interaction," P. Sztompka's concept of social practices, and D. Riesmann's typology of society, the connection between personal governed spaces and macrosocial forms of governance is substantiated. It is argued that, in the context of digitalization and the development of algorithmic systems, governed spaces are becoming hybrid and fragmented, enhancing the theoretical and practical significance of analyzing governed space as a social category describing the stability and transformation of social systems.
