Adequate physical activity is an eutostress that has a positive effect on the functioning of the body due to the fact that sport is perceived by the brain as a relatively short-term ("useful") stress. The technique of switching from intellectual activity to sports (alternating mental work and physical activity), allows, despite the additional type of stress, to relax the student, stimulates the occurrence of short-term stress, necessary for a full-fledged life of a healthy person. Taking into account the problems that arise with the psycho-emotional state of students, it is necessary to choose certain sports that will be effective in combating the negative consequences of studying in higher education institutions due to the development of a spectrum of hormones responsible for regulating mood and emotions.
