The article examines the results of an empirical study of the personal characteristics of high school students with different levels of psychological readiness for the Unified State Exam. The study notes the special importance of personal readiness for the Unified State Exam, which determines both the behavior of graduates on the exam and the success of its passing. The conducted research revealed the specifics of the personal characteristics of senior schoolchildren as predictors of a high level of psychological readiness for the Unified State Exam. Differences in indicators of anxiety, stress tolerance, and locus–control orientation were found among high school students with high and low levels of psychological readiness for the Unified State Exam.
