THE IMPACT OF ANXIETY ON STUDENT’S ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the influence of the level of anxiety and its main components on specific indicators of academic performance (average grade, results of the session and success in completing specific types of tasks). A statistically significant strong negative correlation was found between the level of anxiety and academic performance among students. A moderate level of anxiety during the pre-exam period demonstrates a mobilizing function in some students, contributing to increased focus and motivation for preparation. However, this effect is unstable and individually determined.
