The article discusses the results of the influence of chemical reclamation of meadow crustal salt flats in the south of the Tyumen region, carried out about fifty years ago, on the content and distribution of the mobile form of heavy metals in the meter profile of soils.
Until the nineties, one of the by–products of phosphate production, phosphogypsum, was actively used as a chemical meliorant on salt and salt soils of the Tyumen region. As a result, in addition to phosphogypsum, toxic chemical elements accompanying it could get
into the soil profile.
Studies have shown that the introduction of phosphogypsum contributes to a certain increase in the content of mobile forms of heavy metals in the soil, such as zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb). However, the introduction of this meliorant to meadow cortical salt pans causes critical values only for mobile lead (Pb).
Keywords: salt salts, phosphogypsum, reclamation, aftereffect, heavy metals, radionuclides.
