CHRONIC APICAL PERIODONTITIS. A CLINICAL CASE

This article presents a thorough analysis of chronic apical periodontitis, focusing on its prevalence, causes, diagnosis and effective treatment methods. The study is illustrated in the clinical case of a 45-year-old patient with complaints of pain in the upper right canine, who was diagnosed with chronic apical periodontitis. The main factor in the development of the disease in this case was the progression of the carious process leading to inflammation of the pulp and the subsequent spread of infection to the periapical tissues. The article describes in detail the treatment process, starting with local anesthesia and opening of the tooth cavity, to mechanical and medical treatment of root canals. Special attention is paid to the need for thorough diagnosis and individual selection of treatment methods based on specific clinical data. The results of treatment show a significant improvement in the patient's condition and restoration of bone tissue, confirming the effectiveness of the methods used.
