Computational model for the study of the scattered field of the groove in the screen

Designing antennas with planar mirrors and diffraction radiation antennas requires an efficient computational model of wave diffraction on a conducting screen with inhomogeneities. Approximation of the field source using aggregate locally plane waves considered. In these conditions solved the two-dimensional problem of wave diffraction with limited flat front on the rectangular groove in the screen. The system of linear equations for the guided modes of the groove is received. The formulas for calculating the diffraction field in the near and far fields represented. Implementation of the basic computational procedures described. Partial results of analysis of the diffraction field in the far zone of the groove are presented.
