Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the condition of the endometrium in somatically weighed postmenopausal women by Ultrasound who underwent bilateral adnexectomy after 1, 2 and 3 years. Metherials and methods: 29 asymptomic postmenopausal women were evaluated. The average age of the examined patients was 63.5 + 1.75 years, the average body mass index -28.5 +1.25 kg / m2 , the duration of postmenopause is from 3 to 25 years. Results: Histopathological findings revealed that 18 (62,1%) women had serous cystadenoma, 10 (34,5%) had simple ovarian cyst and 1 (3,4%) had mature teratoma. No proliferative process was found during 3 years after adnexectomy. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be assumed that the selected volume of surgery justifies itself and does not require a more radical operation, which is important in postmenopausal women with a high incidence of somatic pathology.
