The incidence of bronchial asthma (BA) with evaluation of relative risk (RR) and dynamics (1995-2009) was studied in the adult population of 10 ethnic groups living in mono-ethnic rur al areas of Dagestan. Ethnic groups with the highest asthma incidence and negative dynamics have been established. Significant variations in the incidence of asthma in mono-ethnic rural areasof the same ethnos suggest that environmental factors have a greater impact on the incidence of asthma than ethnicity.
