Actinomycosis is a chronic infectious human disease that is caused by radiant fungi of the genus actinomycetes. The main difference between actinomycetes and other microorganisms is the ability to form a well-developed mycelium. The microorganism isolated from the foci of actinomycotic lesions in humans belongs to the resident or transient congenital microflora of mucous membranes. Actinomycosis can sometimes be sporadic around the world. It should be noted that actinomycotic lesions usually develop in tissues adjacent to mucous membranes, which are natural habitats of causative agents. The article describes the main areas of actinomycosis. And also the modern scheme of treatment of this pathology is given.

Keywords:Actinomycosis, actinomyces, radiant mushrooms, mycosis, aktinolizat.
