Apical periodontitis: current approaches and innovative technologies in the treatment of disease

The article considers modern approaches and innovative technologies in the treatment of apical periodontitis. The author comes to the conclusion that the bone tissue of the tooth is most intensively restored when light therapy is applied. At the same time, there is a reduction in the period of regeneration of bone tissue, as well as improvement of long-term results of treatment. The lowest effect was obtained as a result of the use of traditional drug therapy without combining it with additional physical impact on the periapical focus.
