Approaches to the assessment of merger and acquisition efficiency in the banking sector

Today the Russian banking sector endures the important period of the development. Increase of level of concentration of the capital, competition strengthening, increase of requirements to sufficiency of a banking capital induce banks to be reconstructed, increase the competitiveness. One of solutions of this task are the bank merges/absorption forming an important segment of the bank market. In this article the main approaches to an assessment of efficiency of merge and acquisition are considered.
