The research and educational school of economics of trade of the Saint-Petersburg State University of trade and economics and its representatives

the state policy in the sphere of high education, resulting in gradual merger of leading high schools, often destroys existing scientific and teaching teams, thus reducing research activity and its results. Under such circumstances the major goal of top managers of high school is to save and develop leading scientific schools. The article contains biography of the founder of the research and educational branch of economics of trade of the Saint-Petersburg State University of trade and economics professor Rubinshtein G.L. In the article there is also information about major achievements and line of development of the research and educational branch of economics of trade from the first days till these days.
