Analysis of existing assumptions about the causes and possible consequences of abrupt changes in oil prices

The article identifies and analyzes the causes of the sharp changes in oil prices. Into account the different opinions of analysts and experts who interpret the possible consequences of oil prices and the impact on the Russian economy as a whole. The paper discusses the events of the last months of 2014, allowing to assess the situation in the country at any given time.
