State of human potential in Russia and prospects of knowledge economy development

The article examines the role of human potential in the knowledge economy development. The current state of human development in Russia, which can be estimated as relatively high in the context of its educational component, is described. Changes in the development of new skills and competencies in the structure of Russia's human potential in conditions of economy informatization are characterized. Actual problems of human potential formation in today's Russia, which can be a barrier to the development of the knowledge economy, are marked.
