The role of imf in regulating international capital flows

Free financial flows may cause financial non-stability, and the system of bi-lateral and regional agreements is not able to prevent financial crisis. IMF renounces the concept of capital account liberalization as the final goal of every country and claims that capital flow management measures are neces-sary macro prudential toolkit. Rights, limitations and perspectives of IMF as the regulator of international capital flows are presented on the article.
