The article deals with the optimization of piece rates for payment to service workers at car dealer centres, with the view to institute an efficient system of labour remuneration. The reference scale for piecework wage rates used in most car dealer centres is not efficient and assumes the possibility of abuse on the part of direct workers. To exclude these factors, the article provides an overview of methods for detection of abuse and offers a method of calculating the optimum rates for labour stimulation; it gives the conclusion that the progressive scale of wage rates is more effective for foremen distributing the work between the direct workers and controlling its implementation.
