Problem-legal analysis of female crime in modern Russia

This article considers the statistical and historiographical aspects of studying the state of female crime in Russia at the present stage of its historical development. The authors rely on statistics and modern scientific literature and show the characteristics of this socio-legal phenomenon of female crime. The article studies the specificity and nature of female crime in the Russian Federation. Authors define factors, influencing the level of female crime. Furthermore, the patterns of women’s crime depending on age, education and social environment are being analyzed in detail. Additionally, an analysis of the dynamics of female crime for the period from 2012 – 2014 is being presented. Finally, the authors discuss and propose measures for preventing female crime.
