Statistical assessment of health and health promotion of Russia population

The health of Russian population falls significantly behind population health in countries at a similar level of economic development. Russia is ranked 122nd for life expectancy at birth and 97th for health level in the world. The health mainly depends on health promotion. Bad habits are among the main problems of contemporary Russia. This study relies upon the theory of health as a consumption good. Based on this theory we investigate the association between health investment and health level, and also investigate an impact of wage and time allocation on differences in health investment and level.
