The judicial system during the reign of Peter I

The article is devoted to the development of the judicial system undertaken during the reign of Peter I, which analyzes the main stages and directions of the judicial system, aimed at its liberalization. It is precisely in the Petrine period it creates the new organization of the court, which can be considered as an example contemporary with the statutory structure, competence (jurisdiction), areas of expertise, the fundamental principles of activities, etc. The brevity of the judicial system during the reign of Peter I, does not diminish its importance, since the main of its model will be replicated in the upcoming domestic judicial reforms and determine trends and patterns of development in the Imperial period.
