The question of international legal status of displaced persons due to negative effects of climate change

The article describes the main gaps and problems in international law related to the nations submerging due to climate change, stipulates the most effective solution to these problems, and forecasts its feasibility in practice. The author concludes that, despite little applicability of this solution in practice due to the lack of political will of states, it does not mean a complete lack of protection of the rights of such persons in accordance with international law, as international human rights law contains norms and principles governing the legal status of population of "disappearing" states.
