Basic approaches for assessment expediency of government financial support measures for innovation policy

Innovation growth is a main topic of Russian economic policy. However due to current economic downturn Russia has to more thoroughly allocate budget funds. What’s why it is necessary to optimize government innovation support. The paper analyzes international and domestic experience of government innovation support practices and suggests basic approaches for creating optimal policy mix to support innovation.
