Constitutional and legal understanding of the concept of democracy in the Russian Federation

The paper presents an attempt to reveal the contents of the constitutional principle of democracy. Based on the provisions of the Constitution of the Russian Federation made a number of conclusions concerning the characteristics of legal regulation of the people's power, of its forms. Examines the position of several authors regarding the rights of representation and forms of its implementation. Separately addressed the question of the relationship between representative democracy in General and representative bodies as one of its elements.
