International legal standards as the basis of modern police activities on realization of human and civil rights and freedoms

The article deals with the system of international legal standards that form the basis of police activity in modern democratic countries in terms of realization of human and civil rights and freedoms. The author has come to the conclusion that the current universal system of international legal standards in the area of human rights defines the wide scope for constitutional regulation of police power in modern countries as above all a subject in the mechanism of realization of rights and freedoms.
