Improvement of the mechanism of a restraint election applied by court decision in the criminal process

The article is devoted to the main problems arising with the restraint election, applied by court decision, by the bodies of preliminary investigation. Proposals for improving the process of restraint election, based on the literature analysis, judicial practice and the application of personal practical experience concerning this issue are made.
