Criminological investigation of crime in rural areas in the context of crime geography

The article examines the characteristics of crime research in rural areas in the context of the geography of crime. The interpretation of the countryside as an object of criminological research is given. A set of characteristics of rural areas determining the level and structure of criminality is revealed: geographic, topographical, infrastructural, demographic, socioeconomic, sociocultural characteristics.
