The article shows the structure of the industry of the Lipetsk region, leaders in regional economic growth, among which a special place is occupied by the metallurgical industry, food industry, textile industry, manufacture of electrical equipment manufacture of machinery and equipment. On the basis of the analysis were calculated the average values of the main financial and economic indicators by industries. The result was concluded due to some factors is developing one or another sector: the expense of new enterprises or increasing the number or by these two factors.
