The article is devoted to legal analysis of certain provisions of the General provisions of the "Strategy of economic security of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030", approved by presidential decree of may 13, 2017 No. 208. Analyzes the category of "national priorities" and "national interests" reveals the type of relationships between them. Through the prism of identifying new vectors of the overall strategic direction of the Russian Federation in the sphere of ensuring economic security, examines the key concepts defined and used in this document. In connection with the newly introduced definition of "economic security", reveals the essence of the category "national economy", explores the relationship of "threats", "challenges" and "risks" to the economic security of the Russian Federation. Provides practical recommendations for improving the legal technique for the formulation of legal act thesaurus. The conclusion about a significant change in the priorities of protection in the study area compared to fixed in the earlier State strategy of economic security of the Russian Federation 1996.
