About some aspects of improvement of legal support of the organization of applied researches in the Russian Federation

The article deals with the issues of legal regulation in the Russian Federation of one of the types of research activities – applied research. The approaches to the classification of scientific activity, as well as some aspects of the legislative consolidation of the Russian scientific Fund, and the state Corporation "Rostec" are analyzed. An overview of the articles of the Federal law "on education in the Russian Federation", devoted to the scientific activities of universities, in particular applied research. Attention is paid to the legal regulation of educational training of postgraduate students (adjuncts), and their role in research work of higher educational institutions. Some provisions of the Federal law "on the Federal budget for 2018 and the planning period 2019 and 2020" concerning the structure of the estimated costs of carrying out applied research on national issues are considered. Recommendations are made to improve the legislation in all these areas.
