The allocation of responsibility for the committed offenses in the field of protection of various types of secrecy is the fundamental deterrent condition to ensure its safety. The article deals with legal liability in the field of data protection, as well as legal liability for various violations during protection of professional, commercial and other kind of secrecy. The article covers the issues such as "legal responsibility", its objectives, functions, principles, types, procedure for bringing to responsibility for violation of various types of secrecy or disclosure of protected information.
