The role of science in innovation economy

This article studies the concept of science and its role in innovation economy. The innovation economy, or, as it often called, the knowledge economy, depends on the success of scientific research, both fundamental and applied. However, recently it is often difficult to distinguish scientific developments from entrepreneurial activity, because the creation of innovations takes place not only in research institutions, but also within commercial firms.
