Police arrest as a measure to combat anti-state activities in the Russian Empire in the second half of XIX – early XX century

The article deals with the concept of police arrest and the practice of its application in the Russian state in the second half of the XIX – early XX c. It is Noted that, unlike judicial arrests, the production of which was regulated by the Charter of criminal proceedings of 1864, the use of police arrest were regulated mainly by administrative legal acts, such as instructions, temporary rules and regulations.
