Culturological characteristics of mercenary-violent crimes prevention committed by members of ethnic criminal groups

The problem of mercenary-violent ethnic criminality concerns not only criminologists from Russia, but also other members of scientific societies around the world. According to Information and Analysis Center statistics, the above-mentioned crime rate tends to decrease. However, the situation remains tense and requires detailed approach to further research. The surveys of 100 convicted persons for committing mercenary and violent crimes within an ethnic criminal group, and the examination of 50 criminal cases have provided the empirical base for the research. The study concluded that examination of the culturolgical characteristics of mercenary-violent crimes prevention committed by members of ethnic criminal groups is the main aspect in the formation of precautionary measures in respect of the specified type of crime. In order to achieve a positive result in preventive activities of the crimes we are considering, it is necessary to formulate a common idea capable of uniting different cultures and removing the opposition between them. The mercenary-violent crime of ethnic criminal groups is a form of manifestation of culturological conflicts.
