Status and prospects for foreign direct investments from China

Based on the current state of China's direct foreign investment, using the analysis of the investment scale of sectoral and regional distribution, the article concludes that at present the country's direct foreign investments are mostly aimed at acquiring technologies. It was also found that the share of investments in the manufacturing industry continues to grow, special attention is paid to the growth of international mergers and acquisitions. In addition, the analysis revealed that private enterprises have become the main instrument of China's direct foreign investment, but problems such as the low efficiency index of foreign direct investment and the insufficient capacity of enterprises for international activities.
