The article analyzes the problems arising from the selection and application of a preventive measure as house arrest, reveals unregulated by law issues of selection, extension and application of house arrest, considers the possibility of using the results of operational investigative activities as grounds for selection house arrest, justifies the need to improve legal regulation for the selection and application of house arrest as a preventive measure.
