Prospects for expanding international settlements in national currencies

The article presents the results of the analysis of the structure of world exports. The revealed distribution of the countries ' positions presupposes the existence of corresponding priorities in the choice of currencies for international settlements. However, the analysis of the actual data showed that this dependence is not fully manifested. Analysis of the composition of foreign trade transactions using the ruble showed that Russia carries out transactions with the currency on the global market with the EU, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Foreign countries, BRICS, and some other States. The conducted researches allowed to formulate prospects of application of national currencies in the international calculations.
