The article examines the key aspects of the processes of the digital economy, assesses the level of development of domestic digital technologies in comparison with the leading countries. It is noted that the General technological backwardness of the country creates serious obstacles to the digitalization of the economy and increases the risks of increasing technological dependence. The article suggests ways to overcome them. The main directions of the new strategy of digitalization of the economy, its main goals and objectives are analyzed.
