Competitive advantages of BRICS countries for transition to «Industry – 4.0»

The relevance of the article is determined by the insufficiency of its systematic research, as well as the holding of the BRICs summit in Russia in 2020. The competitive advantages of the BRICS countries, which create opportunities and prerequisites for the transition to "Industry - 4.0" with the use of modern information and communication technologies, the digital economy, are investigated. The use of recognized international comparisons for the analysis of materials: the global competitiveness Index, the digital competitiveness Rating-allows to ensure the reliability of the findings. Prospects of cooperation are revealed. Conclusions and proposals on the use of competitive advantages of BRICS countries to achieve their high positioning in the global governance system are formulated.
