On regulatory and legal regulation of participation in the shared construction of apartment buildings and other real estate objects

In this article, the authors note the important role and importance of Federal Law No. 214-ФЗ dated December 30, 2004 “On Participation in the Shared Construction of Apartment Buildings and Other Real Estate Objects”, which, in their opinion, greatly influenced the development of housing construction in Russia. Analyzing the novels of the normative legal regulation of this Law, the authors come to the conclusion that recently the legislator proposes to completely prohibit the attraction of citizens' money to finance the construction of apartment buildings under an agreement on equity participation as an optimal solution to the problems of deceived co-investors. At the same time, market participants are forced to completely restructure organizational and financial business models.
