This article discusses the ways of the impact of legal ideas on the processes of development of society. The views of experts on the factors that influenced the formation of legal ideas in modern law are analyzed. The doctrine on the specified subject is generalized. Formal-legal, comparative-legal, system methods, as well as the method of modeling are used. Mechanisms of interrelations of legal ideas and basic institutions of society are investigated. The author comes to the conclusion that legal ideas are the sources of development of modern society.
