Big data is becoming a major asset in the economy, contributing to the growth of new industries, processes and products, creating significant competitive advantages. Database-driven innovation is a key source of growth in the 21st century. By 2020, about 50 billion devices will be connected to the Internet in the world, and the amount of data generated by them will reach 44 trillion GB, experts believe. Huge flows of this information, Big Data, are used in various segments of the economy: from the consumer market and advertising to the oil and gas industry and the financial sector.
