Unemployment benefits as state aid: a comparative analysis

The article analyzes the experience of the appointment and payment of unemployment benefits in the EU and Russia. Significant differences in the provision of social guarantees to citizens who have lost their jobs are revealed. The author describes the historical experience of the emergence of such a significant assistance as unemployment benefits. After all, one of the most pressing problems in the economic sphere, not only in Russia but also in the world, remains unemployment. The payment of benefits to unemployed citizens is one of the most important social guarantees of any state, especially those who, due to certain circumstances, do not have the means to a normal existence.
