Current issues of protecting consumer rights in the light of latest legislations

The article explores the features of consumer protection under Russian law. The bases and conditions are revealed under which the protection of consumer rights is carried out, the circle of subjects and the specifics of their protection are determined in the framework of Federal Law No. 2300-1. Attention is focused on the problematic aspects of protection related to the omission by consumers of statutory deadlines for claims; compensation for losses and lost profits; analyzes the problematic aspects of protection associated with the emergence of "self-employed" individuals and owners of aggregators of information about goods or services on the Internet.
