for a successful existence in a market economy, it is important for any company to correctly assess the value of its business. The research of a scientific article is devoted to the study of ways and methods of assessing the value of the business of domestic enterprises, to determine which option will be most effective. Based on this, the features of assessing the value of various companies were considered. The relevance of the study on the selected issues is that in connection with the current state of the market economy of Russia, where the processes of mergers, acquisitions / sales and insurance of business property occur daily, the need for analysis of the effectiveness of existing methods and indicators for assessing business value is increasing. The main factors that have a direct impact on the choice of an enterprise of certain methods of assessing the value of a business are listed. The conditions are analyzed, due to which domestic firms are not interested in the frequent use of third-party consulting agencies conducting the process of assessing the value of their business. The classification of the main methods for assessing the value of property of an enterprise and business used in domestic and international practice is carried out. A comparative critical analysis of the main indicators of the financial model for assessing business value used by enterprises of the Russian economy has been carried out. In conclusion, the article concludes that the commercial activities of enterprises require a financial assessment of the value of their business, which allows us to improve the sustainable development strategy. For this reason, it is necessary to use different models, the tasks of which coincide - an objective and real assessment of the value of the company as a business entity, on the basis of which its financial stability, investment attractiveness and creditworthiness are formed.
