The process of evolution of modernizing efforts, which allowed to provide modern structural modernization, including enterprises of agricultural engineering, is analyzed. Certain types of machine-building products that are innovative in nature and require effective modernization structure are considered. The current conditions and specific ways to improve the efficiency of modern modernization sphere, innovative and technological components of agricultural machinery enterprises, in particular, the formation of innovative structures (innovation and technological and scientific centers, including for innovation, improving the overall innovation culture, etc., forming a new development model, which provides for the search for development paths based on innovations in the end-use stage.
