Single transport space as a structural component of the EAEU single economic space

Transport is one of the most important infrastructural sectors of the national economies of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and the formation of their single transport space (STS) is necessary for the successful development of Eurasian economic integration. The article discusses the regulatory legal framework, trends and prospects for the formation of the STS, the place and interests of Russia in this process. The important role of transit traffic in the development of the economies of the EAEU countries is noted. Based on the analysis, additional measures are proposed for the formation of the STS, the effective implementation of the transport and transit potential of the Union.
